There can be a multitude of reasons for why this may happen, but most probably this may be related to server-side settings. For example your server may be pushing custom DNS related settings that your client machine can not resolve thus it would seem you are without internet access, or maybe full-tunnel connection is in place but isn't configured properly. Also you want to make sure that compression is not being utilised, since it's an outdated and insecure feature that doesn't work well with the latest Connect app. Those would be good places to start looking in to.
But it's hard to tell, without extensive troubleshooting.
