Trying to make Radius OpenVPN more Tolerant to Packet Loss

I've got an OpenVPN setup that works perfectly.
Users on perfect connections with the right certs - username and password - get an MFA notification and connect- and this works flawlessly.
Until the remote user has a shakey connection to our Gateway.

perfect connections from all over work fine.

However Hotel Wi-Fi not so much.

Is there any way to make the server config more tolerant to packet loss without having to re-authenticate the user?, and without compromising security?

are you using UDP? try using TCP, which is more tolerant on missing / malformed packets.
