Hi everybody,
I have question regarding OpenVPN routing behavior with already established connections.
For example: I have an existing RDP connection to a remote server without VPN connection.
When I connect my OpenVPN client, the RDP connection remains active using the old route instead of switching to the VPN tunnel,
even though I am using the following option in my OpenVPN configuration:
push "redirect-gateway def1"
I expected all traffic to be redirected through the VPN, but the existing RDP session continues over the old route.
when I reestablish RDP connection It then routes through VPN.
Is this normal behavior? Do I need to configure OpenVPN to close or re-establish all existing connections when the VPN connects?
Thanks in advance!
