Hey everyone,
enthusiastic amateur here. Have setup my server (natively comes with my dlink dsr-250), also on that router is a DDNS link to a FreeDNS subdomain. When setting up the client OVPN file, I can connect to the VPN when the “remote” function calls the routers external IP directly.
However, when I replace that IP address with the subdomain the connection isn’t successful. Oddly, when I ping the subdomain, it resolves to the same IP address I hardcoded that allows a successful connection. Appreciate any thoughts!
